In 1963 the club collapsed due to poor support, but re-emerged the following year. In 1973/74 Bradford win the Second Division Championship and promotion to the First Division.

They changed their name to Bradford Bulls in the 95/96 season, and are placed in the new division as the Super League is formed. In 1997 Bradford won the Super League title with a record run of 20 successive victories. In 2000 Bradford won the Challenge Cup for the first time in 51 years, beating Leeds Rhinos 24-18.
