Club Details: Huddersfield Giants
Founded in 1864, they initially played at Rifle Field, before moving to Fartown in 1871, the club are still referred to throughout the town as 'Fartown' to this day.
Huddersfield earnt the nickname, 'Team of All Talents', after winning the coveted 4 cups in the 1914/1915 season, with the side of 1913-14 and 1914-15 still being seen today as one of the greatest ever to play the game.
In 1913-14 Huddersfield won the treble, consisting of the League Championship, the Challenge Cup and the Yorkshire League Cup.
Following meetings between members of the Huddersfield Cricket and Athletics Club in 1921, it was decided that a Supporters Club should be formed. The Club still remains today at the old Fartown Ground at Spaines Road, Fartown, Huddersfield.
The worst era for Huddersfield came during the 80's, know as 'The Barren Years'. In 1992, the Spaines Road home was abandoned for Leeds Road, home of Huddersfield Town Football Club. In August 1994 the Giants moved into the brand new Alfred McAlpine Stadium.
The Giants finished in 5th place in the 2007 season.
